A short, sweet and heartfelt romance story that grows from the beginnings of a girl with a passion for writing, Daddy Long Legs is a sweet romance story stemming from the 1912 short story by Jean Webster, now available on the Gutenberg Press. It revolves around a young orphan of 18 years who has now just been funded by a mysterious gentleman to attend college, only in exchange for letters to him on updates of her latest educational advances. As a patron however, he notes that he is not obligated to return communication. Eventually, he makes an appearance in her real life as the relative of one of her less likable classmates. Over time, he develops a strong attachment and love for her, only to struggle to figure out how to tell her the truth. The musical is the latest adaptation of the story that first began showing in 2009.
